I’ve worked in online media for over a decade now, and in all kinds of roles, from conceptual and creative right down to nitty gritty development.
My main area of expertise & interest is in online entertainment and storytelling, co-creating projects like the crossmedia gameshow FightBox and interactive soap Wannabes for the BBC, interactive entertainment like two-minutes.com (http://twominutes.ruritania.co.uk) and Maze House (http://mazehouse.ruritania.co.uk) in conjunction with Channel 4 and SciFi channel respectively, and character and story development for the Early Learning Centre’s Planet Protectors.
I’ve also a great deal of experience in both client-side and server-side development and delivery, for brands and clients ranging from Channel 4 to L’Oreal, from the Wellcome Trust to Unilever. I’m currently Creative Director at Graphic.
Graphic was born out of the Guardian Digital Agency, which has now been sold to Kantar, WPP’s Data Investment Management arm and has become a separate digital agency
Graphic does the full range of digital and offline design and development, from print (magazines for the British Council and Ofsted reports) to web design and development (Kantar.com, for example) to branding and concept development (the Wellcome Trust In the Zone sceince education project). We specialise in data visualisation for all kinds of clients and audiences and I also run Guardian Masterclasses in Data Visualisation with our Content Director, Adam Frost.
