Linda Kennedy is currently Group HR Director for SIG plc, a FTSE 250 company with 10,500 employees and a turnover of circa £2.7billion.  Her role covers the UK, Europe and UAE and she is a member of the COMEX, acting as sponsor for the Group’s e commerce project as well as leading the People Agenda and global HR function.

Previously, Linda was Vice President of People for Orange UK and then Chief Change Officer at EE, the UK’s largest mobile operator, where she was successful in delivering Orange/T Mobile/EE into the Sunday Times Best Companies and in leading the merger and integration of Orange and T-Mobile.  Prior to EE, she was Group HR Director at international service company Serco, where she was responsible for the development of their people strategy and the implementation of a new leadership and talent management framework

Linda has over 22 years of significant HR experience across a range of industries and has worked for large global organisations including the roles of Global HR Director at Williams Lea, the corporate information solutions business, global HR Director at waste management business Cleanaway and VP Human Resources at oil and mining company BHP Billiton, amongst others. She has worked internationally across various geographies including South Africa, South America, Australia, the Former Soviet Union and Europe during her career. She speaks several languages including French, German and Spanish and she is an Associate of the Institute of Linguists.

Although a generalist in HR, Linda specialises in Organisation Design, Change Management and Engagement and takes a metric-driven approach to demonstrate value added HR. She has had extensive experience in company turnarounds, business mergers and re-organisations. Having originally studied at Napier University, she is now a Fellow of the CIPD.
